• Butterfly in the wind

    Synopsis:
     Butterfly in the Wind is a story of the struggle of a woman who has just been released from the prison. She`s without refuge and oppressed by her husband. Her only hope is to find her daughter who is living with her traitor husband on Iran-Pakistan border. There is a difficult trip through desert waiting for her in order to find her beloved daughter. Only Amir, who is not sure even about himself whether he is a friend or an enemy, will not abandon her.

  • The sun shines on all equally

    Synopsis:
    Negar and Janet are close friends. Reza, Negar's husband and Janet's former lover, is a chemically-injured war victim, with his recovery a total disappointment to his doctors. Deceiving the hospital manager, a friend of Negar's influential father, they succeed in getting Reza out of the hospital and taking him to a shrine in another city, hoping for a miracle. But, in driving the long, beautiful roadway, they find miracles all around, leading them at the end to a greater miracle for the Muslim couple and unexpected enlightenment for Janet, a Christian.

  • Rebirth

    Synopsis:
    Zoheir, a young sailor working on a cargo ship heading to South Africa, finds out that his pregnant wife is missing during the war in Lebanon. He travels back to his homeland using different ships and boats. However, after the bombings, in order to save the newly born babies, his wife and a nurse have taken them out of the region in an ambulance. Now these two are searching to find each other in a war-ridden area; a search leading to the rebirth of love through the ashes and the dust... Director s View: Rebirth could be taking place in any other country. It’s not merely for Lebanese people, since it is possible to observe the rebirths of love and one generation everywhere.     Synopsis:
    The representative delegation of the France’s Avignon Festival travels to Iran to see a traditional cultural play called „Ta’ziyeh“ which is presented only in Iran, in order to prepare a documentary film about the preparatory stages. On the third day of preparations, the hero of the play gets lost. The participants in the play are thinking about traveling to Europe to search for another actor for that part, but find nobody because the actor must have certain specific characteristics, which makes the choice extremely difficult. The producers of the play set out a journey in search for the hero in order for his presence at the festival and participation in the performance of Ta’ziyeh not to fail

    Synopsis:
    1979....Iran is on the verge of civil revolution. The airport is closed and all international fights are cancelled.     Synopsis:
    When an ex-lover pours acid on a clergyman and his fiance, the clergyman and his brother-in-law murder the man in an incident. and it leads to an unexpected adventure which even involves a love triangle and the only way out of this situation, the freeway, goes against the way of his surrounding and his religion.

    “to put a man in a situation to be forced to choose between love and faith in today’s Iran was a real challenge, but this man being involved in a murder was enough of a challenge to persuaded me to make this movie.”
